Lollipops for Grown Ups

Think lollipops are just for kids?  Think again!  I wanted to try making a more sophisticated sucker and succeeded with these cocktail flavored lollipops.  I say, “flavored’ because they don’t actually contain any alcohol, but they are inspired by popular happy hour libations.  Champagne flavoring combined with Lemon Oil & lemon zest equals a Champagne Cocktail lollipop; Lime Oil combined with a touch of Peppermint Oil and lime zest equals a Mojito; you get the idea.

These lollipops are fun treats for a bridal shower, adult birthday, or even to hand out as novelty thank-you gifts after an event.  They would make cute stir sticks as well.

Cocktail Flavored Lollipops

INGREDIENTS
LorAnn Super Strength Flavors (total amount of flavoring added should be no more than 1 to 1-1/2 teaspoons)
Lime and/or lemon zest, optional
Lollipop molds, any design
Lollipop sticks

DIRECTIONS


Any of our LorAnn super-strength flavors can be combined to create your own custom flavoring creations!

  1. Oil lollipop molds, or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Put a small amount of grated zest (optional) into bowl of each mold and put lollipop stick into place.
    Follow our Hard Candy Recipe, adding flavoring where indicated.

Strawberry Daiquiri
1 dram LorAnn Strawberry Flavor + 1/4 teaspoon LorAnn Lime Flavor

Mojito
1 dram LorAnn Lime Flavor + 1/4 teaspoon LorAnn Peppermint Flavor

Champagne Cocktail
1 dram LorAnn Sparkling Wine Flavor + 1/4 teaspoon LorAnn Lemon Flavor

Peach Daiquiri – Peach + Lime
Mango Daiquiri – Mango + Lime
Watermelon Daiquiri – Watermelon + Lime
Bay Breeze – Cranberry + Orange
Sea Breeze – Cranberry + Grapefruit
