Lighting desserts on fire was a novelty dessert trend in the 60’s. That’s why you could always find Baked Alaska or Bananas Foster on the menu. Our delightful recipe makes eight, petite and individually portioned, Baked Alaskas. Full of strawberry and chocolate flavored cake, strawberry ice cream, and a light fluffy meringue, this elegant cake is truly a creamy, strawberry surprise in every slice!

Originally not frosted when first introduced in 1964, it was later determined that frosting could withstand the toaster.
